Marietta Wine Market

Marietta Wine Market is the coolest wine store in Atlanta! This inviting place is known for its easy atmosphere, great wine selection, and for being where people gather to support their favorite local charities and causes. Marietta Wine Market hosts a variety of charity events on a regular basis, including the Pets, Vets & Vino event that raised over $300 for Pets for Vets Georgia.

Our thanks to everyone who came out to support us at this event, including Marietta Wine Bar owners Karen and Randall Heard, who generously donated a wine tasting for 20 to our LMCTA Silent Auction!

Three Piece Suit Football

Three Piece Suit Football is the brainchild of Cameron Miller and Joff Braio, two friends who came up with the idea one night over beers and, well, football! The game is held every year at the 4th Ward Skate Park in Midtown Atlanta the weekend before the Super Bowl. Guys and gals turn out in some of the most outlandish three-piece suit “uniforms” you’ve ever seen to entertain the fans who show up to cheer their favorite team to victory. There’s even a Dog Disc competition at halftime!

In 2016, Pets for Vets Georgia received $5,000 as the beneficiary of Three Piece Suit Football! Thanks to all the volunteers who worked at the event, the Dog Disc Competitors and the players, referees, emcees and fans—you guys are awesome! And to Cameron, Joff, Paulette Miller and everyone involved in the planning and execution of this outrageous event, we can’t thank you enough for all you do for Pets for Vets Georgia!

Ed Roland and Friends

Ed Roland, the lead singer of the Atlanta rock band Collective Soul, has a heart as big as his talent. Ed loves to give back to his community and has a particular interest in helping Veterans. Pets for Vets Georgia was fortunate enough to be one of three charities that “Ed Roland and Friends” selected and supported at their fundraiser at Eddie’s Attic in Decatur, GA. The event brought together a variety of musical talent who played to a packed house and raised $5,000 for Pets for Vets Georgia!

Thanks so much to Ed Roland and the other amazing musicians who performed that night, Eddie’s Attic and your great staff, Charlie at Rock to the Rescue for your donation and all the wonderful fans who turned out for this awesome concert. Your support is making a huge difference in the lives of Veterans and shelter dogs in Georgia!

Lost Mountain Community Tennis Association

Last October, the Lost Mountain Community Tennis Association (LMCTA) hosted the Halloween Fright Fest Charity Tournament and Silent Auction to benefit Pets for Vets Georgia—for the second time! The weekend tournament, in which players donned Halloween costumes, and the Silent Auction, held that night at the Brookstone Country Club, raised $5,000 for the Pets for Vets Georgia!

Thanks to the the many people who contributed to the success of this event, including the LMCTA Board of Directors (Andre Squires, Jim Hunter, Angela Bay, Sandra Moore, Traci Thomas, Sherry Benegar, and Nikki Diya), Brookstone Event Coordinator Bethany Rogers, the Brookstone Country Club, our wonderful Pets for Vets Georgia volunteers and everyone who turned out to enjoy the tennis and Silent Auction! Last but certainly not least, huge thanks to Traci Thomas, LMCTA Event Organizer, who worked tirelessly for months to coordinate every detail of this event to ensure its success. Congratulations to Traci on 30 years of promoting the game and giving back to your community at LMCTA!

Primus Builders

For the second year in a row, Primus Builders in Woodstock chose Pets for Vets Georgia as the beneficiary of their annual employee fundraiser. We joined Primus Builders’ employees and their families at this carnival-like event which took place on a hot day in June. Activities included the very popular Dunk Tank, other family-friendly games and competitions and several raffles, along with great food, drinks and ice cream! This event raised $5,271 for Pets for Vets Georgia!

Many thanks to Event Organizer Whitnay White, CEO Rich O’Connell, SVP Paul Grenier, Director of Construction Jay Navarro and all the wonderful employees at Primus Builders who generously donated to our organization!

CrossFit Zanshin

Every year, CrossFit Zanshin hosts Murph for Mutts, a one-day fitness event where participants do the MURPH Hero workout for a great cause. This event pays tribute to our fallen Veterans and raises funds for a worthy charity and this year, Pets for Vets Georgia was lucky enough to be the recipient.

The event raised $436 for Pets for Vets Georgia! Thank you to Karen Escobar and everyone at CrossFit Zanshin for your support!

The Atlanta Chivers

In 2014, the Atlanta Chivers raised more money for Pets For Vets Georgia than any other group or business!

Dozens of people came out to relive the glory days of Madonna and shoulder pads at the Chivers’ 80s Prom Party at Twin Peaks in Buckhead. Partygoers danced the night away to 80s songs and had a blast taking “prom” photos. Twin Peaks (who donated the event space) got into the spirit by showing old TV clips and the Pets for Vets logo on the TVs around the bar.

The Atlanta Chivers not only know how to throw a party but they also know how to give. The group donated 100% of their ticket proceeds and merchandise sales to Pets for Vets Georgia and raised a whopping $13,500, our biggest donation to date!

This extremely successful event also qualified the Atlanta Chivers as a Companion Dog Sponsor. Thank you, Atlanta Chivers, for making a huge difference in the lives of the Veterans and pets here in Georgia!
