Aid & Attendance Pension
VeteranAid.org provides information and assistance in applying for the Aid and Attendance (A&A) Pension. This is a benefit for veterans and surviving spouses who require the regular attendance of another person to assist in eating, bathing, dressing and undressing or taking care of the needs of nature. It also includes individuals who are blind or a patient in a nursing home because of mental or physical incapacity. Assisted care in an assisting living facility also qualifies.

Vet Center Combat Call Center – 877-WAR-VETS
1-877-WAR-VETS is an around the clock confidential call center where combat Veterans and their families can call to talk about their military experience or any other issue they are facing in their readjustment to civilian life. The staff is comprised of combat Veterans from several eras as well as families members of combat Veterans. This benefit is prepaid through the Veteran’s military service.
C-P.A.W.W. Canines Providing Assistance to Wounded Warriors
C-P.A.W.W. is a Health Research Initiative for Veterans in the College of Nursing, University of Colorado Denver, Anschutz Medical Campus. This initiative was established in October 2013 to advance the health and well-being of members of the armed forces. They are committed to the evolution of nursing knowledge within the context of research, education and practice in order to better assist the military population.
