A Pets For Vets Match Story

James and Judd

After serving in the Army for seven years, James had extensive physical injuries and was diagnosed with PTSD. His anxiety made it difficult to sleep or go out in public, especially with a crowd.

Rescued from a kill shelter in Mississippi, Judd was brought to Maine by Helping Paws. Pets for Vets then adopted and trained Judd specifically for James’ needs and lifestyle. From the first moment they met, the two shared an unbreakable bond. James says they even slept together, side-by-side, on the couch the very first night!
